Joe is survived by
his wife,
Ruby; one child,
Leah Karen and one granddaughter, Leah Rose, of Florida; one grandson,
Ted;
one brother, Tiny; and sisters Edna, Myra,
Gloria, Drucilla, and Mary of Georgia.

Joe grew up on a
farm as the 11th of 13 children born to O.E. Ivey, Sr. and
Carrie Green Ivey.
As a strong and healthy young man, he would entertain his family and friends
with feats of great
strength.
