• 30 Dec 00:  Lauren was admitted to the Pediatric ICU with respiratory distress.

• 1 Jan 01:  Lauren's condition changed to respiratory failure and she was placed on a respirator.

• 2 Jan 01:  Condition stable.  However, her lungs were full of fluid and she was on antibiotics.  The hospital staff worked to clear her lungs.  She was also on painkillers.

• 4 Jan 01:  Condition stable.  A new bed was provided that automatically adjusts/moves every 10 minutes.

• 8 Jan 01:  Condition stable, but with no improvement.  Her doctor  requested that an ENT specialist be brought in to see Lauren to determine if she is a candidate for a tracheotomy.  The family was asked to decide whether or not to take her off the respirator.

• 10 Jan 01:  Lauren requested that the respirator be removed.  She passed away at 11:43 am.
